Griffin Yereance, sophomore at Boothbay Region High School, lost in the boys’ Round of 52 state singles tournament held at Bates College in Lewiston Friday, May 17. Yereance, who plays second singles for BRHS, fell to Liam O’Dwyer, Camden’s third singles player, 1-6, 5-7.
Softball Game Preview: Sumner Hits the Road
The Sumner Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Washington Academy Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sumner is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Bucksport on Wednesday. They lost 10-1 to the Golden Bucks.
