Brunswick man faces multiple charges after Highway Patrol arrest
A Brunswick man was arrested by the Highway Patrol in Chariton County on the afternoon of Thursday, May 9th. The arrest report indicates that 24-year-old Robert Morehead was accused of several offenses, including resisting arrest by fleeing, tampering with a witness, speeding 15 to 19 miles per hour over the limit, having no valid registration, lacking insurance, and failing to drive on the right half of the road. He was released on a summons.
Motorcycle overturns on Route J, Elmer woman injured
On May 11, 2024, at approximately 2:40 p.m., a motorcycle accident occurred on Route J, two miles east of New Boston, resulting in moderate injuries to a woman. Dikki D. Buck, 64, of Elmer, Missouri, was riding a 2017 Harley Davidson eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the road, and overturned.

Free kids fishing derby in Chillicothe this June
The North Missouri Sportsman’s Alliance and Missouri Department of Conservation will host their annual Kids Fishing Derby next month. The Livingston County Veterans Association will also help host the event at the pond on the north side of the Baptist Home in Chillicothe on June 1.
