A man has pleaded guilty to shooting a McKeesport police officer in 2020. Koby Lee Francis will now spend the next 15 to 30 years behind bars. He faced a number of charges, including attempted homicide and escape. The shooting happened on Dec. 20, 2020. More than a week later, U.S. marshals captured him in Clarksburg, West Virginia.Surveillance video captured the moment the shooting happened. The injured McKeesport officer recovered and returned to work less than a month after the shooting.Correction: A previous version of this story said Francis faced 20 to 40 years in prison. This has since been fixed.
