Richard Thompson Stadium hosted a bi-district soccer matchup between the Veterans Memorial Chargers and the Sharyland Rattlers. This district winning Rattlers team looked to start their journey in the playoffs with the hopes of making a deep playoff run once again. The boys got off to a fabulous start. Francisco Gomez scored their first goal in the first 55 seconds of the game. Juan Trevino followed that up four minutes later with a header into the back of the Chargers net. Some could say that this game was over with, but they would be wrong. A Chargers group charged their way back with two goals within the span of ten minutes to close out the first half with a 2-2 score.
