    McAllen police search for man accused of crossing stolen vehicle into Mexico

    McALLEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — McAllen police are searching for a man accused of multiple auto thefts.

    McAllen police are searching for Heber Emanuel Torres, who is accused of multiple auto thefts.

    On Monday, authorities received a report regarding a vehicle stolen from the 800 block of Robin Avenue. The vehicle was described as a black GMC Sierra.

    According to a news release from the McAllen Police Department, Edinburg resident, Heber Emmanuel Torres crossed into Mexico in a stolen vehicle, where he escaped from Mexican authorities.

    Anyone with information regarding Torres is asked to contact the McAllen Crime Stoppers at (956) 687-TIPS (8477).
