Woman arrested for driving vehicle into another with person inside

( WJET/WFXP ) — A New York woman was taken into custody after reportedly driving her vehicle into another one with an occupant inside.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the incident around 7:48 p.m. on April 22. After investigating, they discovered that a 34-year-old Chautauqua woman got into an altercation with a resident along East Chautauqua Street in the Village of Mayville.

The suspect reportedly then drove her vehicle into the victim’s vehicle with someone inside and then left the scene. Police located the suspect shortly after where they arrested and transported her to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

She is being charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree criminal mischief.

A release states she will appear in the Town of Chautauqua Court at an undisclosed time and date.
