MaxPreps begins its coverage by spotlighting the best player in each state.From All-Americans to up-and-comers, players were identified based on last year's statistical data provided to MaxPreps as well as local, state or national honors from multiple media outlets.You could make the case that some, if not all, states could list out multiple players deserving of the honor.
