HONOLULU (KHON2) — Maui County officials said crews were responding to a brush fire approaching 11350 Honoapiilani Hwy in Olowalu on Monday.
Police said they received the initial call to the incident at around 5:45 p.m.
As crews responded to the fire, roads were closed at milepost 13.5 however they have since been reopened.
According to the Maui Police Department, no homes were located nearby and no injuries were reported.
While police have reopened roadways, the Maui Fire Department remains at the scene to monitor the fire.
