PEABODY, Mass — A Mashpee man suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car while he was crossing the highway in Peabody Thursday.
The 39-year-old man was trying to cross all travel lanes on Route 1 northbound when he was struck by a 2021 Toyota Highlander at 11:45 a.m., according to Massachusetts State Police.
The driver of the Toyota, a 55-year-old man from Malden, was not injured in the crash.
The Mashpee man is expected to make a full recovery.
The crash is being investigated by MSP’s Crash Analysis Reconstruction Section.
No charges have been filed at this time.
