(Kearney, NE) – Northwest Missouri State’s track and field team had a successful weekend at the Loper Twilight meet.

It all started with Luisarys Toledo who earned first in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 59.96, just behind his time last week in the Concordia Twilight on May 10th that ranked second in school history. In the 200-meter dash, Enrico Cavagna was able to earn the school record with a time of 20.87 seconds to rank #19 in Division II overall. He is now just one of two athletes for the Bearcats since 2005 to run under 21 seconds in the 200-meter.

When it came to the relay team on the men’s side, Prince Griffin, Gavyn Monday, Logan Arellano, and Truman Hare were able to take the championship title in the 4×400-meter relay. They were able to earn a time of 3:06.32 while breaking the school record that was held since 1984.

On the women’s side, Lydia McGlocklin earned her new personal best in the 800-meter run at 2:09.67. This marks her second fastest time of the season which helps her rank at #19 in Division II.
