New Braunfels Dive Team recovers man's body Sunday from San Marcos River

MARTINDALE, Texas - Dive teams recovered the body of a man who drowned following a reported accident over the weekend in the San Marcos River.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office said that they were called out just before 5 p.m. on Saturday to the river for a reported drowning near Martindale, Texas, about seven miles southeast of San Marcos.
Several agencies, including the New Braunfels Dive Team, searched the area where the man was last seen. The search was called due to nightfall, but just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, the man's body was recovered.
The investigation is ongoing.
