REPUBLIC TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WLUC) - The driver who was arrested after a rollover crash in Republic Township on Memorial Day weekend last year will be sentenced in June for one of the four charges she faced.

Aurora Lillian Saterstad-Scott, 24, was originally scheduled to appear for sentencing in Marquette County Circuit Court April 25. However, court documents show that date was disposed to June 6 so she could finish an inpatient treatment program.

Saterstad-Scott will be sentenced for one count of operating while intoxicated-causing injury. She was originally charged with four felonies: 2 counts of operating while intoxicated-causing injury and 2 counts of operating while intoxicated with an occupant under the age of 16 (second offense). In a March 1 plea agreement, however, she pleaded guilty to the one OWI charge and the other three were dismissed.

She was arrested May 26, 2023 after the van she was driving lost control and rear-ended a truck traveling north on M-95 near Kingfisher Road. The truck lost control and left the road to the east, while Saterstad-Scott’s van continued down the road until it flipped on its roof in the southbound lane.

All occupants of the vehicles were transported to UP Health System Marquette with injuries, according to the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.
