A Kanawha County man is facing charges following a domestic violence incident that led to to a woman's son being injured by a knife, court records said.
John Milton Vance, 36, of Marmet has been charged with domestic violence and malicious wounding, according to a criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Kanawha County.
The complaint said a woman was found with abrasions and scratch marks around her neck at a Martmet home on Tuesday.
Court records said the woman’s son arrived at the residence after receiving a call about the incident. The son reportedly picked up his mother and ran into a tree when backing out of the driveway.
When getting out the vehicle to assess the damage, the son was approached by Vance and was cut on his hand with a knife, court records said.
Vance is being held on a $9,000 bail at South Central Regional Jail.
