Rogers looking for success with Bulldogs
Last year, the Marlin Bulldogs had a fantastic season. They finished with an overall record of 11-3 and a perfect district record of 7-0, winning their first district championship since 2005. With Coach Ruben Torres leaving, the Bulldogs have promoted defensive coordinator, Jeff Rogers, as the new head coach. Rogers is also a member of the Texas State 7-on-7 Board of Directors. He has plenty of past coaching experience in Central Texas as a defensive coordinator for three years in Lexington, an offensive coordinator at Groesbeck for three years, and Navasota where he spent six seasons with the Rattlers as offensive coordinator....

Waco, Tx (FOX 44) – A 23-year-old man is facing first-degree felony charges after police found over a pound of THC gummies in his car following a traffic stop. Waco Police officers made the stop for a traffic violation at North 9th Street and Waco Drive at 10:20 p.m. Sunday. Police say 33-year-old Lauren Bonvillian and four-year-old Savannah Bagley died late Monday afternoon in Hill County as the result of a car crash. Hewitt man charged with two counts of cockfighting
HEWITT, Texas (KWTX) - A Hewitt man who was stopped Sunday night with five chickens and rooster fighting paraphernalia in his SUV was arrested on two counts of cockfighting. Clinton David McMillan, 48, was released from the McLennan County Jail after posting bonds totaling $3,500 after his arrest on one state jail felony count and one Class A misdemeanor count of cockfighting.
