2 robbed while walking in Bucktown, Old Town on Wednesday morning
CHICAGO — Police are investigating two robberies that occurred within 20 minutes yesterday morning in Old Town and Bucktown. First, three or four men jumped out of a white sedan to rob a woman as she walked in the 1200 block of North Clybourn. It happened around 5:35 a.m. According to a witness, the robbers made a U-turn, then stopped to rob the woman at gunpoint of her bag and phone.

CHICAGO — A Chicago man has been sentenced to probation for crashing into another car and killing a 78-year-old woman as he sped away from a locksmith he did not want to pay. Kurell Purnell, 20, pleaded guilty to reckless homicide with a motor vehicle on Wednesday, according to court records.
