One of Williamson County's largest employers is expanding.
Aisin Corporation announced this week it'll add a nearly half-million square foot logistics center near its manufacturing center in Marion.
The new Marion Logistics Center is a partnership with Agracel, and will handle shipping, receiving, inventory control and more in the REDCO Industrial Park on Marion's east side.
Aisin currently employs more than two-thousand people at its three facilities in Marion - Aisin Manufacturing Illinois, Aisin Electronics Illinois, and Aisin Light Metals. The plants make car parts for Toyota, Lexus, GM, Honda, and more.
Aisin leaders expect the new logistics center will begin operations in 2024.
