Marine swimmers host Door County United in Bay Conference meet
MARINETTE — The Marinette/Peshtigo swimming team hosted Door County United for a Bay Conference meet on Thursday.
Mary Mayhew turned in a pair of first-place finishing after swimming the fastest time in the 100-yard butterfly (1:10.11) and the 500-yard freestyle (6:10.88), both of which were personal-bests.
The Marines set a total of 17 new personal-bests against DCU.
Kristi Anderson continued her strong freshman season with new personal-bests in the 200-freestyle (2:31.20) and 100-backstroke (1:17.30), while Lucy Lemire established new PBs in the 200-freestyle (3:05.26) and 100-breaststroke (1:42.19).
Regan Hermanson (3:04.16) and Kaya Bodam (3:36.52) swam new personal-bests in the 200-Individual medley, finishing fourth and sixth overall, respectively.
Riley Sabel placed second in the 200-IM with a time of 2:44.71.
Marinette/Peshtigo travel to Clintonville on September 28 at 6 p.m.
