Two people rescued after boat capsizes off Horseshoe Lake
HORSESHOE LAKE, Wash. – Spokane County deputies rescued two people whose canoe had capsized at Horseshoe Lake. On April 11, around 3:40 p.m., the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office received a call that two males had fallen into Horseshoe Lake after capsizing their canoe. Deputies report that the victims were for help and were very cold.
Ark. Police Department Shuttered, Removed from Service by State
An Arkansas police department has been shut down and removed from service by the state. A spokeswoman with the Arkansas Department of Public Safety told WREG-TV that the Hughes Police Department had been designated as inactive because it had not complied with law enforcement training standards. It's unclear what specifically led to the designation.
