Fun Things to Do This Weekend

The biggest thing to do this weekend is to head to the Puyallup Fair, which has more going on than you can see or do in a day, or a weekend. The fair is much bigger than just the carnival, rides and livestock barns. It’s also the last weekend of the fair, so it’s now or never!

The Steve Miller Band is the weekend concert headliner. This is a great nostalgia show. There are 4-H dog and horse shows, free pedal tractors for the tots to ride, a live cooking show, cheerleading exhibition, showings of Beauty and the Beast, dance groups, a science show for kids, exhibits and demonstrations, and so much more.

If you’ve already done the fair, there are plenty of other things to do around the Sound.

Visit the Haunted Woods at Maris Farms in Buckley. Recommended for ages 12 and up.

The Luminata lantern parade is taking place Saturday night around Green Lake in Seattle.

The Sustainamania sustainability fair is happening in Bothell and includes the Repair Café where you can bring your broken things to get them fixed or learn how to fix them.

The popular St. Demetrios Greek Festival takes place all weekend in Seattle,

The Great Wallingford Bratwurst Festival on Saturday in Seattle is a family friendly event.

Head up north to the Skagit Bigfoot Fest in Mount Vernon.

Festa Italiana is an Italian festival held at the Seattle Center.

Camlann Medieval Village in Carnation is holding a Michelmasse Festival all weekend.

The Fishermen’s Fall Festival at Fishermen’s Terminal in Seattle is family friendly and full of great seafood.
