CLINTON, N.Y. -- The Herkimer Generals and the Jefferson Cannoneers split their doubleheader of the NJCAA Division III Region 3A Final, 4-3 and 15-3. Herkimer took a 3-1 advantage into the top of the seventh inning in Game 1, but surrendered three bases loaded walks to Jefferson, allowing the Cannoneers to take a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh.

Pair of Utica residents arrested in Barton Avenue incident
UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — A pair of Utica residents face multiple drug and weapons charges after an incident on Wednesday, May 15, according to Utica Police. Officers were called to the 100 block of Barton Avenue at approximately 2:45 pm regarding a female victim who was claiming to have been shot. Police say she was allegedly shot while attempting to retrieve property from the residence.
