Syracuse, N.Y. — Section III’s top boys lacrosse teams held their spots at or near the tops of their respective classes in this week’s rankings. Cicero-North Syracuse, which was tied for first in Class A last week, holds that pinnacle all by itself now. In B, West Genesee scooched from No. 2 to No. 1, while Jamesville-DeWitt and Marcellus remain at the head of the classes C and D, respectively.

Bruce Springsteen gave 30,000 people a fantastic concert in Syracuse on Thursday, but he gave one young fan a special souvenir — and an unforgettable moment. During the nearly three-hour show, Springsteen left the E Street Band on stage several times to interact with the crowd standing in the pit.
