Girls Golf Team Competed at Maquoketa Invitational on April 17th
The girls went to the Maquoketa Invitational on Wednesday April 17 to play 18 holes in some very chilly, windy conditions! They awarded medals for the top 10 individuals, and we had 2 players that placed high enough to medal. Overall, we were pleased with our results in a competition against a number of 2A and 3A schools.

A single-vehicle accident took place on April 16 at 3:30 p.m. on Highway 151 South. Kanzharbek Nasirov, 37, of Chicago, Ill., was driving a 2016 Freightliner semi-trailer when the high winds caused his empty trailer to blow from side to side. One of his tires dropped off the roadway onto the shoulder as Nasirov attempted to correct himself. His semi then jack-knifed. No injuries were reported. Damage to semi was estimated at $1,500.
