These storms are expected to weaken as they cross over the Mississippi River, which means that we’ll be left with just a few isolated to scattered showers and storms overnight. It’s not impossible to see a lingering strong storm west of the Illinois River early tonight, but chances are low. If that happens, localized strong wind gusts and hail may be possible.
