I'll never understand why cases like this.."domestic abuse" is not referred to as attempted murder? why is no one listening to the victims and trying to protect them? this is exactly why I believe we are only able to protect ourselves. get trained on self-protection. carry a weapon if you need to...clearly no one else is going to protect you :(

I was an advocate for 18 years with our local Victims Crisis Center. Years later, I read this and cringe. It saddens me was our legal system does to the Victims. Judges , just think of the next victim as if she were your daughter or son. God have mercy on our victims, their families and their lives from there on. And, God have mercy on our judicial system, and Lord our country.
