NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A robbery suspect shot at police, who returned fire, in Upper Manhattan on Wednesday night, the NYPD said.

No one was hit in the brief exchange of gunfire around 9:30 p.m. in the area of the Marble Hill Houses in Marble Hill.

NYPD officers were responding to a report of a robbery involving up to five suspects on W. 225th Street when one of the suspects fired one shot, police said.

An officer fired a single shot back, according to police.

Cops descended on the area, but no arrests had been reported as of Thursday.

Details about the robbery weren’t immediately known. WABC reported that a group mugged a man in the courtyard of the housing complex.
