NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A man was pushed into the side of a moving subway train in Brooklyn this week, police said Tuesday as they released video of the suspected shover.

The 36-year-old victim was standing on a northbound R line platform at the 59th Street station in Sunset Park around 6 p.m. Sunday when another man attacked him unprovoked.

The assailant pushed the man into the side of a northbound train car that was rolling through the station, police said.

The victim slammed into the train car, bounced off and fell onto the platform.

He never fell onto the tracks, but the vicious attack left him with multiple lacerations and bleeding to his head, police said.

EMS transported him to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, where he was listed in stable condition.

The attacker fled the station after the shove. Video shows him walking on the platform and past a turnstile.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
