MANHASSET, N.Y. (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- An armed driver followed a man into a TGI Fridays and beat him up as a road-rage encounter spiraled out of control, Nassau County police said Thursday.

The two men got into an argument around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday outside the Fridays at 1445 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset.

During the face-off, Antonio Condello, 48, retrieved a gun from his trunk while yelling at the 39-year-old victim, according to police.

When the victim went into Fridays, Condello followed him inside and punched him in the face several times, police said.

The victim refused medical attention when first responders arrived.

Condello fled the scene after the attack, but cops arrested him at his home in New Hyde Park, police said.

He faces charges of third-degree assault, second-degree menacing, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
