Covington musicians to entertain on neighborhood porches
The Covington PorchFest takes place Dec. 2, bringing local musicians and their neighborhoods together to celebrate each other and the larger community. Five neighborhoods, five sets of musicians, all from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Just walk from porch to porch to hear all the music. Proceeds will benefit Hope House, which last year used event contributions to help take five child abuse victims through the HopeHouse program. Performers and locations include:

The Krewe of Antheia, Slidell's newest all-female Mardi Gras parading group, held its second ball Nov. 18 at The Harbor Center. Celebrating their current parading theme, Let's Geaux Girls!, Krewe members and their escorts partied the night away, eating, sipping, dancing to the music of Sugarbomb and toasting their new Goddess Antheia II, Sean Spoliansky.
