Local Pitt OL Target Commits to Wisconsin

The Pitt Panthers missed on three-star offensive lineman Ryan Cory.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers were set to welcome him to campus this month for a visit but three-star Pine Richland High School product, Ryan Cory has made his final decision early.

Cory, who Pitt had pursued heavily during his recruitment, announced this week that he had committed to Wisconsin. Whether or not he will still take his official visit to Pittsburgh this weekend remains to be seen.

Cory anchored a Rams offensive line that went all the way to the PIAA Class 5A Championship and won it all in 2022. He played guard and defensive tackle as well.

He chose the Badgers over offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Stanford, Vanderbilt, Virginia and West Virginia.

At 6'3 and 290 pounds, Cory's rated as a three-star prospect by On3, 247Sports and Rivals. 247 ranks him as high as the No. 20 player in Pennsylvania and No. 50 interior offensive lineman in the class of 2024.
