The routes link up with the Elk County Trail of Dreams and the Northcentral Regional ATV Trail, giving riders a way to reach communities and businesses without hauling their machines from spot to spot. The administration made the announcement during an event at the Fox Township Municipal Building near Kersey. The designations came through a process built by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation , which lets municipalities or regional organizations that manage ATV trail networks request a route designation. The idea is to stitch together trails that already exist so riders can travel between them on approved roads, closing gaps that once forced them off the trail. The connectors are meant to bridge larger trail systems, not to serve as standalone riding areas. Five of the new routes are in Fox Township, Elk County, all connecting to the Trail of Dreams. Those are South Kersey Road (Route 2007) between Boone Mountain Road and Chicken Hill Road, Irishtown Road
