After getting accepted to numerous schools, including three Ivy League schools, Madera South’s Naysa Villa, who will graduate No. 1 in the class tonight, will attend the University of Notre Dame in the fall with aspirations to become a pediatric trauma surgeon. Commencement ceremonies for Madera South will begin at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening in Memorial Stadium.

When Naysa Villa was applying to colleges, she sent applications all across the nation and was accepted to many of them.

Villa was accepted to numerous University of California schools and California State University colleges. Villa also was accepted to Ivy League schools Princeton, Cornell and Dartmouth. In addition, she earned acceptances to the University of Chicago, John Hopkins University and the University of Notre Dame.

Out of all of those choices, Villa chose Notre Dame.
