According to somebody at the scene, the McDonald’s near Pine Street and Howard Road had a line Monday evening that was moving pretty slowly.

That’s when the driver in a truck aggressively backed out and badly damaged a McDonald’s order menu during the process.

According to another witness, before the video started, the man in the truck had hit the van in front of him at the drive-thru.

When the female driver of the van asked the man in the truck to exchange information, the man told her that he did not have insurance and offered to pay her $200 for the damage.

When the lady declined his offer and mentioned calling the police, that’s when witnesses say the man started violently backing out of the drive-thru.

FOX26 reached out to McDonald's but it declined an interview.

The Madera Police Department said it did receive a service call for the drive-thru but when officers arrived that driver was long gone.

Officers are investigating this as a hit-and-run.
