Bibb deputies: 19-year-old hospitalized after Monday afternoon shooting

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A 19-year-old man is in stable condition at the hospital after being shot Monday afternoon.

It happened around 2:30 in the 1100 block of Boulevard in Macon, according to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Office news release.

Deputies did not provide the 19-year-old’s name. The shooting is under investigation.

On March 27th, 2023, at 2:32p.m., The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1100 block of Boulevard to investigate reports of shots fired.

When deputies arrived on scene, contact was made with a 19-year-old male who suffered from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a medical facility where he received treatment for his injury. He is listed in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding this incident are still under investigation.
