According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, the New Haven Community Schools were placed on a soft lockdown on Thursday after administrators received a threat alert through the OK2Say reporting system.

No one has been hurt.

Under a soft lockdown, students continue to attend their classes and are permitted to move around within the school buildings. However, no one is allowed to enter or to leave the school

The sheriff's office said parents have been informed of the situation.
