MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - Two Macomb County men have been found guilty of murdering two young women in 2021.

Dajuan Davenport of Warren and Darrell Banks of Mount Clemens were each charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony firearm in connection with the shooting deaths of Dazhane Holloway, 19, and Dionna Davis, 18.

Authorities say Banks, 21 and Davenport, 22, shot and killed the women, both from Clinton Township, on Jan. 22, 2021.

After the shooting, the suspects fled in a Dodge Charger and led police on a chase that ended with the car slamming into a pole. Both were arrested after the crash, which sent both Banks and Davenport to the hospital.

The guns used in the shooting were found in the car, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office.

Banks and Davenport were found guilty Wednesday after a six-day jury trial. They are set to be sentenced on April 19.

No motive for the slayings was given during the trial, according to a report from the Macomb Daily.
