Due to the end-of-month business roundup being my focus this week, and having a holiday, this will be a pretty short column.
This was the final week of the month, meaning I rounded up all the business closings, openings, and announcements I could confirm that occurred in May. In the May roundup, there were seven openings, four closings, and four announcements. Make sure you read the article for the details.

Two businesses initially slated to open in May pushed back their timelines. Ollie's Bargain Outlet hopes to open in August, and Rusty Taco will open later this summer, according to company officials.
Going into next week, I will be speaking to the people behind Frost Brewhouse to hear their story. Other upcoming articles could include details on the new Cameron West restaurant, another franchise coming to Lubbock, a fun feature on a Plains winery, and details on a new Motomedi coming this fall.
