Police identify pedestrian seriously injured in collision with vehicle at 74th & University

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - A pedestrian is being treated for serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle at 74th and University on Friday night. The call came in at 9:56 p.m.
Officers located 50-year-old Jaime Cardenas with serious injuries. Cardenas was transported to UMC via ambulance.
Police say Cardenas was walking west in the roadway and was struck by a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado traveling northbound in the left lane.
No charges have been filed as of Saturday evening.
University Avenue has been closed to northbound traffic from 74th to 82nd Street.
