The Boys Home Invitational Golf Tournament Was a Wonderful Success!
On Saturday, May 4, 2024, Boys Home of Virginia hosted its first Invitational Golf Tournament on The Cascades Course at the Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Virginia. Check-in began at 9:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:00 a.m. Despite the inclement weather, 16 teams enjoyed an exciting round of golf on a beautiful course with a delicious lunch, as well as an exceptional opportunity to support Boys Home.

Troutville woman sentenced to one year for shooting husband in 2023
BOTETOURT COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A woman will serve one year in jail for shooting her husband outside their home in Troutville in January 2023. As we previously reported, on Jan. 12, 2023, deputies with the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from Rhonda Larue Hinkley saying she had shot her husband. When first responders arrived, they found Hinkley standing in the driveway and her husband, Walter Thomas Hinkley, lying in the gravel.
