    ‘Armed and dangerous’ Louisville man on the run following fatal ‘altercation’ in Floyd County in custody

    MCDOWELL, Ky. ( FOX 56 ) — Kentucky State Police said on Monday that 41-year-old Michael Colley of Louisville was taken into custody.

    Kentucky State Police (KSP) is searching for an “armed and dangerous” man who’s believed to be responsible for the death of a 53-year-old.

    On Sunday, state police responded to a home on Kentucky Route 680, where they found the body of 53-year-old Patrick Shepherd.

    The initial investigation revealed that there was a fatal “physical altercation” between Shepherd and 41-year-old Michael Colley of Louisville, per KSP. Before state police arrived, Colley fled the scene.

    Colley is described as a 6-foot-tall white male weighing 212 pounds. He was last known to wear a dark-colored jacket, sweatpants, and athletic shoes. He is considered armed and dangerous, per KSP.

    LATEST KENTUCKY NEWS:

    Shepherd’s body was sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy and the cause of death is still under investigation.
