A new coach for Louisville: After a prolonged search, the University of Louisville has finally found a new men's head basketball coach in College of Charleston's Pat Kelsey.

Kelsey, a Cincinnati native who has spent three seasons with the Cougars in his second-ever head coaching job, will leave Charleston with a 75-27 record and a .735 winning percentage. He also led the Cougars to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in the past two seasons, but exited March Madness in the first round.

A news conference announcing Kelsey's hire is expected to take place Thursday after 3 p.m., according to a release from the university.

Read more about Kelsey's history and what he will bring to Louisville through our story from Louisville basketball beat writer Brooks Holton.
