3rd suspect arrested in connection to 19-year-old killed in St. Denis shooting
The Louisville Metro Police Department has arrested a third suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in the St. Denis neighborhood.
LMPD arrested JaQuan Duggar Jr. on Thursday. He's being charged with murder, wanton endangerment and receiving stolen property.
He was arrested in connection to a shooting that happened in the 4500 block of Sunset Circle on Dec. 16, 2022.
Police found 19-year-old Eric Williams suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived at that location. He was taken to UofL Hospital, where he later died.
Tevin Smyzer, 20, and Justin Walls, 19, were both arrested previously in connection to the shooting.
According to the arrest citation, Smyzer and Walls pulled up to William's residence in a stolen white Ford Explorer, then got out and began firing. At least four other people were in the home with Williams at the time.
Williams was sitting on the kitchen island when he was hit by one of the bullets, police said.
Police said the two men then stole a black Ford Explorer and used a credit card from the previous car to make purchases throughout Jefferson County.
Smyzer and Walls were identified through surveillance video, according to police.
Duggar is scheduled to be arraigned in court on Friday morning.
