BACK TO THE NEWS IN THE MORNING. HEADLINES. MATT, THANK YOU. LATE BREAKING THIS MORNING, METRO POLICE IS INVESTIGATING AFTER A MAN WAS SHOT MULTIPLE TIMES OVERNIGHT IN THE RUSSELL NEIGHBORHOOD. IT HAPPENED JUST AFTER 130 THIS MORNING AT ELLIOT PARK ON SOUTH 28TH STREET. POLICE SAY THAT VICTIM WAS TAKEN TO U OF L HOSPITAL AND WE’RE NOT SURE ON HIS CONDITION THIS MORNING. NO

A man was shot multiple times early Wednesday morning at a park in the Russell neighborhood.Police said the shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. at Elliott Park on S 28th Street.According to police, the victim, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to UofL Hospital and his injuries appear to be serious. LMPD said so far, no arrests have been made. The non-fatal shooting squad will be the lead investigative unit. Anyone with any information is asked to use the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
