The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the woman shot and killed in the Smoketown neighborhood on Monday.Coroners said that 37-year-old Amanda Miller was the victim. The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. along Finzer and South Preston streets, according to police. Miller was actually found a few blocks away in the parking lot of the CVS on East Broadway.Miller was taken to UofL Hospital to be treated for her injuries, but died during surgery, according to the coroner.LMPD's Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.Anyone with information is asked to call the anonymous Crime Tip Hotline at 502-574-LMPD (5673) or utilize the online Crime Tip portal at LMPD Crime Tip Portal.
