KENNESAW, Ga. — The Bellarmine University track and field teams competed Friday and Saturday at the Don McGarey Invite hosted by Kennesaw State.
Sophomore
Chloe Freilinger placed third of 30 in the women's 400 while freshmen
Kylah Brooks (eighth) and
Jansen Story (14th) also finished in the top half of the field. In addition, Freilinger was 13th of 64 competitors in the 200.
Sophomore
Naimah Slaughter placed sixth in the long jump and was 13th of 38 in the 100. Senior
Jenna Walker placed in the top third of the 100 hurdles after taking seventh, while freshman
Avery Koch placed in the upper tier of the discus (eighth) and shot put (12th), as did sophomore
Lauren DeBold in the hammer throw (15th).
Junior
Ike Boling and sophomore
Trevor Holbrook placed fifth and sixth, respectively, in the 36-member men's 400. Holbrook also placed in the upper echelon of the 200 (14th), as did freshman
Alex Cole in the hammer throw (10th) and discus (12th).
Bellarmine will compete Friday and Saturday in the University of Cincinnati's Oliver Nikoloff Invite.
