Chef Jason Maddens launching Italian steakhouse in Brambleton

Big news on the culinary scene in Loudoun County. Chef Jason Maddens — the mastermind behind the popular Ahso Restaurant and its sister wine shop, Ahso Cellars — is bringing a new Italian steakhouse to the area.

Maddens plans to open the restaurant in a 5,200 s.f. space in the Bram Quarter development going up at the intersection of Loudoun County Parkway and Evergreen Mills Road.

The restaurant will be called Dom Nuzzi’s Italian Steakhouse. It’s named after Madden’s grandfather, Dominic Nuzzi — and there’s a sweet story behind it.

Grandpa Nuzzi passed away in 2004 right as Madden’s was preparing to start culinary school. The  grandfather left his grandson $25,000, which just so happened was the exact cost of the culinary program.

“He sort of gave me this career,” Maddens said.

The menu is still being developed, but expect Dom Nuzzi’s to have a robust steak program as well as custom pizzas, plus fresh pasta dishes that will be rotated seasonally.

There will also be Italian-inspired appetizers and desserts. Madden’s describes his plans as “old school, classic Italian” dishes, plus new takes on some items that will surprise and delight guests.

He says if all goes smoothly, he would like to open his new establishment sometime in the spring of 2024.

This is the second restaurant in the works for the Bram Quarter property. It will also be the home to Loudoun County’s first Paris Baguette — a fast-casual restaurant serving French-inspired sandwiches, breads, and pastries.
