Loudoun food truck opening brick-and-mortar restaurant

It’s a big step in the life of many restauranteurs — after testing their recipes and their concept in a food truck for several years, they decide to take a leap and open what’s referred to as a “brick-and-mortar” location. That’s what the folks at C&E Southern Bites have in the works.

The South Riding-based food truck has been around for several years now, offering a menu filled with southern favorites such as a Fried Catfish Sandwich, a Fried Shrimp Platter, and a North Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich.

Now, the C&E team (Cheryl and Evans, the owners – ergo the name) have leased a spot in the Dulles Market Square retail plaza. That the center along Old Ox Road by the airport that is also home to a McDonald’s and the Ultrazone Loudoun laser tag center.

With a brick-and-mortar location, the couple says they will be able to expand the menu, offering more barbecue items as well as things such as brisket and ribs.

The sign recently went up on the exterior of C&E Southern Bites, but they say they still have some work to do to get the interior finished. They are aiming for a late spring opening if all goes smoothly.
