Loudoun’s latest Bruster’s ice cream shop opens this month

The sign is up at Loudoun’s latest Bruster’s Real Ice Cream shop and they are preparing to open by the end of this month.

The new store is located in a prime corner unit at the Stone Ridge Village Center off Highway 50, just a few doors down from the Harris Teeter grocery store. The space was previously a fitness center.

The Bruster’s team has redesigned the unit so there is an indoor space for customers to queue up to the windows and order their ice cream cones, sundaes, and shakes.

Most area Bruster’s locations are outside walk-up windows only, so this will provide some cover and warmth during inclement weather. There will also be an outside patio with tables and chairs.

The Bruster’s brand, which has nearly 200 locations in 22 states and some overseas as well, first arrived in Loudoun County in 2020 with an Ashburn store in the Broadlands neighborhood. A second location opened in Leesburg at the Compass Creek development in 2022.

There are also nearby stores in Fairfax, Vienna, Manassas, and Frederick, Md.

The brand is known for making its ice cream fresh each day and for the large number of different flavors that rotate regularly on the menu.

Construction is nearly finished at the new Stone Ridge store and the owners are aiming to open to the general public on March 31.
