90 mph gust recorded in Casper; many roads closed to all truck traffic on Thursday
CASPER, Wyo. –– Extreme winds are hampering travel and wrecking nerves in much of Wyoming on Thursday. According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, a gust of 90 mph was recorded on Casper Mountain Road on Thursday morning, with a 79 mph gust recorded on Outer Drive.

Interstate 25, US 87 from Casper to Buffalo closed early Thursday as winter storm hits area
CASPER, Wyo. –– A winter storm that moved through much of Wyoming overnight will make for a difficult morning commute on Thursday in Natrona County. According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation, both directions of Interstate 25 between Casper and Buffalo were closed late Wednesday and remain so early Thursday. Estimated reopening times range from unknown to as late as 1 p.m. in some areas.

Casper Area Transit to reduce operations for MLK Jr. Day
