Better chances for showers and storms into the weekend
The storm system that brought snow/rain to northern New Mexico yesterday continues to swirl off to the northwest today. It’s bringing some showers/storms to northern and east central New Mexico this evening, expected to get heavier over northeastern parts of the state tonight. While a few raindrops are possible tonight in the metro, most of it will evaporate before reaching the ground.

Woman attending New Mexico graduation ceremony shot in neck by stepson, police say
A 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with shooting his stepmother during a charter school graduation ceremony, police in Albuquerque, New Mexico, said. The shooting occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Albuquerque Convention Center. Police said that they were called to the venue for what was initially believed to be an active shooter but that when officers arrived they "discovered it was a single shot fired by one individual."
