    General Hospital actor Johnny Wactor, 37, shot and killed in alleged theft gone wrong

    Sop actor Johnny Wactor has been shot and killed at the age of 37 in downtown Los Angeles , his heartbroken mom has announced.

    The actor, who starred as Brando Corbin in General Hospital , was killed early Saturday morning in an alleged theft gone wrong. His mother Scarlett said Johnny was with a co-worker when they saw three men trying to steal his catalytic converter.

    Scarlett was told Johnny didn't try and stop the alleged thieves. However, they're said to have shot him before driving away. Paramedics rushed to the scene just after 3am local time.

    Johnny was sadly pronounced dead at the hospital. Police are yet to provide a description of the suspects, but Scarlett told TMZ she hopes they'll be found quickly.

    Scarlett shared a loving tribute to her son as she described him as a "loving young man". She said his death has left a "huge hole in the family's heart". Johnny is survived by his mother and his younger brothers - Lance and Grant.

    Fans have been left devastated by the news and took to X to share their tributes. "Senseless and awful," one person wrote. Another said: "Just tragic. RIP, Johnny," while a third added: "That's awful. Condolences to his family." Someone else said: "Too much violence in the world. Rest In Peace handsome."

    Johnny got his big acting break back in 2007 with a role on the hit Lifetime show Army Wives. He went on to work for shows including NCIS, Westworld, The OA and Criminal Minds.

    One of Johnny's biggest roles was as Brando Corbin in General Hospital, with the actor playing the role from 2020 until he was written off in 2022. His character was married to drug addict Sasha Corbin in the series.

    Johnny's death comes just three months before his 38th birthday. The actor often kept fans updated on his life on Instagram, sharing pictures of himself rock climbing and spending time with animals.
